ELECTRIC FAN
The electric fan that you can find in your house is used for circulating air in your rooms. It consists of series of blades that attached to the central rotating hub. The picture above shows the electric fan that consists of different parts: Electric Motor and Motor Housing, Fan Blades, Speed Controller, Guard, Plug and Power Cord, and Base.
Electric Motor and Motor Housing - This converts electrical energy into mechanical energy causing the blades to move. In addition, the housing covers the motor and other internal components of the fan. It protects the motor from dust and provide stability to the fan assembly.
Fan Blades - The blades are also known as the fan impeller that consists of 4 or 5 blades. These are responsible for circulating air around the room. Blades can be composed of plastic or aluminum and can made up to 400 revolutions per minute.
Speed Controller - These are the buttons or switches that control the rotation speed of the fan. Fans may have two or three optional speeds: low, medium, and high. You can adjust its airflow intensity by clicking its buttons or switching the speed controller.
Guard - This serves as the barrier around the blades to prevent object from entering the fan and to prevent accidental contact.
Plug and Power Cord - They are used to connect the fan to your electrical supply.
Base - It provides support to the entire mechanism. It provides stability that makes the fan stand upright. This is also the part where you usually find the on and off regulator and the speed controller.
