TRIP REPORT

     I and my workmates were sent to a three days seminar on June 20-22 2023, at the Big 8 Hotel, Tagum City, Davao del Norte. The purpose of our seminar was to gain knowledge, learn new skills, improved productivity, and enhance the individual or group performance. Our three days of staying there wasn't useless because we really enjoyed and learned a lot from our seminar. 

ACTIVITIES: 

Brainstorming Session 

     In the brainstorming session, we are given a lot of questions and tasks that need for us to be done. The questions were really difficult that took us one hour to answer. All of us shared our different ideas and I learned a lot from my teammates. In addition, our tasks was to make our own product and promote it in a very creative way. We find these tasks challenging. We brainstormed, provide creative suggestions, and all of us cooperated. As a result, our group received the award of best product and best group.

Question and Answer Session

     This session allows us to raise questions related to the product and good services. It exposes us to new knowledge on the details of products and the best service that we could offer to the customers.  

Team Building

     We had fun games that help us build a strong team that works together toward a common goal. This activity challenges our mind and body as we need to exert strengths and think of strategies to win the game. Through this activity, I learned a lot of things that improved my thinking and planning skills. 

Meet and Greet

      I consider this activity as the memorable activity that we had in our three days seminar. Through this activity, we are given the opportunity to meet a lot of professionals in the business field. They shared their useful ideas and techniques in handling and running a business. I also had a conversation with our speaker that time, Mrs. Celeste R. Bernardo, a well known businesswoman in our country. We exchanged conversations and she even gave me advices that are really important for my work. 

Recommendation

Based on the learnings that I had in our seminar, I recommend the following:

Build a good plan - In every business, good planning is really important to make the business grow. Always think twice before taking an action that you're not sure about it. Plan the best ways that will help you run a business successfully. In short, build a plan for success .

Be Creative - Always think of different ways to find innovative solutions in your business. Be open to new ideas and ask questions and advices to the professionals that will help improve your business.

Provide Great Service 

Providing great service can be done by following best practices, such as respecting customers' right and time, being friendly, thanking them, and offering informed and useful resources. Having great service is important because it satisfies customers and they were more likely buy your product again.
